The little things
Friday, January 10th,
Today I ran in my new kicks
And I've decided Newtons are my shoe of choice-
I have the Gravity and Terra and love them both
They make me happy
And that got me thinking
I've been doing this running thing long enough to know, it's the little things that make a difference
Here's my short list:
Urban halo head band
I use one of these every time I run
It keeps my bangs out of my eyes
Keeps my pesky glasses from bouncing around
I use it as an ear warmer in winter
I love the fabric
It feels like the softest brushed cotton
Like your favorite broken in yoga pants
Perfectly stretchy- but stays put
I found mine at the TCM expo
I need to order more
You can find yours HERE
Under armour tech tee
I literally have clocked thousands of miles in this shirt
Run marathons in it
Again, it comes down to the softness and ease of movement of the fabric to me
Under armour has it down to a science
I scour the TJ Maxx racks for mine- actually- I just wear that green one over and over and over!
This 'flip belt' has become my new favorite thing-
I used to use a Nathan fuel belt
But found this one at this years' TCM expo- it is great!
One of the flattest, easiest fuel belts around
Does not move!
Holds keys, iPhone, fuel, anything---
One word of advice: go up a size -
Get one-
Seriously- you'll thank me
Find yours HERE
And last, but not least-
Socks
Ahhhh socks
For those of you that have read past reports-
I'm a notorious blisterer
And my toes love to destroy the toes
For long runs and marathons
I've found that feetures elite
Work perfectly for me
The 'sock lock' technology hugs my foot and protects it from shoe abrasion
These are synthetic fiber- so they run hot
But worth it- make sure you get the light- not ultra light-
For shorter recovery runs- I love the
Feetures elite merino wool- they are my favorite again, because of their feel. Much softer than smart wool- wash up softer as well-
And there you have it
A little bit of happiness
And while I would love to be sponsored by any or all of these brands
(call me, pretty please!)
I am not,
Just love finding what works for me, and passing it on
What's on your go to list?
