Running Wogging & the Glass Half Full

'Old spice' run In which my entire run  Was consumed with singing the old spice commercial  (you really need to watch its wonky-ness) Yes, I have focus issues But It does have a catchy tune And you can change the words! My favorite version was: Old spice- Take a look what you've done You've gone and made a runner  Right out of this one- Old spice! Yeah That was a run alright--- I sang and sang and sang it Complete with the raspy "Old Spice" chant at the end Til I got bogged down In the contemplation that Because I do indeed buy my hubby old spice  Does that make me some kind of weird mom- character... Like that commercial? I mean, In my defense I only switched him to old spice as a joke-  But it worked, smelled good- And I can remember which one I get him, on account of the silly car name Denali Or Fuji in a pinch- yeah, I like that one too I smile, thinking how witty I am to remember which deodorant t

Friday night  I plotted and planned my line of attack Set out gear To bed early I was running in  morning Alarm goes off I'm up and at it Hubs says: "did you look outside?" I guess looking outside is in order Oh snap! "Holy snow batman!" Now you must know This born-and-raised Minnesota girl  Has totally turned into a New Mexican We pride ourselves on the efficiency of our snow It comes down,  It melts But this This was snowman snow  Not dry Not greasy It was Heavy Wet Tell me I'm not the only one who describes snow-  Tell me you know what I mean It is literally  The best kind of snow to get If it's going to hang around But I didn't want it to I tell myself I'm brave Get in my car Drive to my early morning starting spot Snow is thick on the road too I drive slower Wondering just how I will make this run happen I drive on Then park And wait And watch the snow come down I can't bring myself to get out  I just sit there Dumbfounded I sit there  M
