Last night was truly magical.
Another late night run, the lights danced in and out of the trees.

How is it life can be this beautiful?

I am so blessed.

3:29am That when I started my run today- Why so early? Had to- my goal was 12, and at a 13-15 minute pace, my run time would be 3 hours. By 6:30 this Cinderella turns into a pumpkin- I mean-mommy and has to get hubby and kiddos out the door. Like last night, I was indifferent, the run was like work you had to do- it felt weird. Headphones- check I pod- check Snacks- check Camelback- Check I was mildly intrigued by this last piece of gear, it was new- and new means fun- right? So off we go- Out the door, the warm-up walk begins- WHAT'S THAT SOUND??!! This sound can only be described as the sound you hear when your tummy's sick, but your mom pumps you chock full of fluids and pepto anyway. Just Move Forward

My friend Erica posted on Facebook last night that there would be a new Body Combat class starting in the morning at 5:30 AM –  I got excited- Time change makes it easy to get back into the early morning exercise routine With my hubby out of town a group class would make it fun- -While she posted ‘Body Combat’   I read -‘Body Pump’  Body Pump uses weights, and I’ve done it quite a bit –  I was excited to go But when I got to class, nobody was setting up –  There were no benches  No bars  Just a bunch of women standing around  I thought “these poor girls they don’t know what to do” And I started to grab some weights –  Erica said “Hey Heather, this is Combat...” And then it hit me  COMBAT— Yeah... Glorious run today- Nice five mile jaunt More fast and slow More form adjustments I really enjoyed this run- I had a light attitude, and talked to myself the whole way- First: "You know-if you'd just move those stubby legs God gave you- You'd go faster..." I laughed- partially because I always try to stay sheltered from such 'horrid' thoughts- And partially because I was proud of being able to joke with myself- I'm learning not to loathe what I consider flaws- but be thankful for this quirky body- This 'tool' I was given- It may not be a 'power tool' like yours- But, hey- it gets the job done. Second: "Dear Asics, I'm not racist, I just hate white." I've ranted about this before- ( Glass Slipper ) But why, oh why are running shoes white? I love my Asics Gel Nimbus, Really feel I need to keep a cush stability shoe in the lineup for longer runs- But I'm so over the boring color choices. A...
